Demarchi Bar & Club Azurro2014

During the construction of the Trapezio Fiorentino in Frankfurt, serien.lighting was commissioned to provide lighting for two restaurants and a bar. The unique nature of the site – which spatially separates the different dining areas whilst allowing them to flow into one another and uniting them into a single architectural whole – presented a particular challenge for the lighting design.

The requirements for light and lighting effects change with each room and its purpose. Nevertheless, both formally and atmospherically, the individual room-specific lighting solutions had to interact harmoniously and be perceived as a unified whole: bright, friendly light for the modern "Tomilaia", atmospheric, subtle light for the adjacent "Demarchi Bar", and dignified, atmospheric light for the intimate, refined "Biancalani".

From Tomilaia, the path leads straight to the “Demarchi Bar”. The lighting at the “Demarchi” is provided by a series of ONE EIGHTY Suspension luminaires, which create an intimate atmosphere with their light directed exclusively downwards and shielded to the sides. And the name says it all: what luminaire could round off the cosy club atmosphere more perfectly than the CLUB Floor as an atmospheric single luminaire.
