From adapting the finish, proportions or details of existing products in the collection to technical modifications for specific requirements and entirely new luminaires developed for exceptional projects.

Every solution is developed in close dialogue with architects, interior designers, lighting designers and clients. Flexible production structures and many years of development expertise ensure engineering precision and continuity in design.

Customising products from the collection

Existing products in the collection can be adapted in their finish, proportions and technical details.

Options include custom colours, special finishes, metallised versions and bespoke lengths for pendant suspensions or mounting elements.

Individual by design:
APP wall luminaire

Its double-layered front panel gives APP exceptional design freedom.

The customisable front panel creates visual depth and a sculptural quality, while opening up a wide range of design possibilities. APP can carry information, support wayfinding or become a design feature in its own right.

For a statement or a message, APP can be personalised with custom prints – from notices and room numbers to corporate colours. The choice is yours.

Structural adaptations – for sloping ceilings, historic buildings or unusual installation situations, for example – are developed specifically for each project.

Visual customisation & bespoke finishes

Alongside structural and technical adaptations, serien.individual offers a wide range of ways to tailor the visual design. These include special finishes, custom colours and modified material versions, allowing a luminaire to be precisely matched to the architecture, interior or corporate design.

Bespoke front panels and complementary elements can also be developed – such as adapted metal finishes, alternative materials or project-specific graphics. These changes give a luminaire a distinct visual character without altering its underlying construction.

Project-specific versions can also be created for individual luminaires or entire product families. They range from colour-coordinated variants to bespoke design elements that make the luminaire a defining feature of the space.

Technical adaptations & specific accessories

Alongside visual modifications, technical adaptations are also possible.

These include project-specific light colours, modifications to control systems, the integration of emergency-power or battery solutions, and sensors for daylight or occupancy detection. Additional accessories support particular installation and usage requirements.

This allows luminaires to be precisely tailored to their surroundings, both functionally and as part of a wider system, and integrated seamlessly into existing architectural or technical systems.

Project-specific developments

When a project calls for more than an adaptation, we develop a solution from scratch.

Here, serien.lighting combines industrial production processes with the flexibility of a specialist workshop. The result is bespoke lighting solutions for specific requirements, from one-off pieces to project-specific small or large production runs.

Development, engineering and production are carried out in close coordination with everyone involved in the project. The aim is a solution that brings the architectural concept, technical requirements and design quality into balance.

Services include technical advice, lighting design, calculations, visualisations and sampling. Logistical requirements are also taken into account – for larger quantities or unusual installation situations, for example. Existing luminaires can also be technically updated where required.
