Art Nouveau villa listed as a historic monument₂₀₂₅

The refurbishment of the listed Art Nouveau villa in Regensburg was given a sensitive contemporary update by architects and interior designers Berschneider + Berschneider.

Its distinctive interiors were carefully restored using renovated doors, original parquet flooring, cement tiles and subtly tinted limewash. This preserved the building’s historic character while adapting it for contemporary use.

The modern ZOOM1 chandelier sits deliberately within this historic setting. Its clear, pared-back design introduces a contemporary accent without competing with the architecture. Rather than imitating a period fitting, it reinterprets the classic chandelier typology, creating a natural dialogue between the listed fabric of the building and modern design.
