After many years of vacancy and completed refurbishment, the Am Rhyn Haus in Lucerne now shines again in new splendour - and good light.
It is one of the most prestigious town houses in Lucerne, with buildings in the Renaissance and Louis XVI style of historical and artistic value and is a listed building.
Within two years, a modern infrastructure with toilets, kitchens, building services and lighting was installed and brought up to date. The surfaces were all professionally renewed, the historical elements were cleaned and restored and are now back in their original place. It was important to the team from co-Architekten to preserve the original condition and at the same time to design the rooms and facilities in such a way that they are optimised for future use.
Following the complete refurbishment, the Am Rhyn Haus is still partially rented out and open to the public.
The timeless ZOOM chandelier from serien.lighting now illuminates the ballroom in the front building (2x ZOOM 1) and the Luzerner Saal (ZOOM 2), the ballroom (ZOOM 3) and the Anna Maria Saal (ZOOM 3 with crystal pendants) in the rear building.
