From the outside, the church appears simple, but when you open the doors, you can see the unusually colorful painted nave, which is surmounted by a lacquered wooden frame. After the renovation in 2002, the lighting designer Andrea Giudicelli was commissioned with the lighting design in 2022. For this purpose, she had ROD Wall wall luminaires and a CURLING from serien.lighting installed. These allow the hand-plastered, colored walls of the church to shine in a new light.
The foundation of the parish in Finhaut dates back to the 17th century. The parish built a specially financed parish church in 1638, but this proved to be too small for the congregation in the long term. A suitable concept for a new and larger church was therefore developed in 1927. When the monument was rebuilt, the old bell tower was preserved and is therefore considered a tribute to the previous building.
