serien.lighting has equipped the Volksbühne theatre in Großer Hirschgraben with lighting. The city of Frankfurt has preserved an important piece of its history from the era of "Nitribitt and kidney-shaped tables" with the Cantate Hall and its magnificent foyer, emphasised the jury, which had to choose between 27 entries for the best renovation projects in Hesse – no easy task, given the quality of the entries, as it was said.
Most of the floors, banisters and doors are still the originals from when the building was first constructed; the colours have been reconstructed based on original findings. The modern lighting from serien.lighting blends in unobtrusively.
