For the film set of the series Skylines, the ONE EIGHTY Ceiling and ONE EIGHTY Suspension luminaires were integrated into the spaces of a fictional music label within a well-known German TV series.
The set design was consistently focused on authenticity: filming took place predominantly at real locations in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin – nestled between urban hip-hop culture, the financial district and industrial backstreets. Instead of traditional studio sets, atmospheric spaces with genuine character and a strong visual identity were created.
The series received widespread praise for its detailed and realistic production and was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2020. The series was produced by Komplizen Film and StickUp Filmproduktion.
Particular attention was paid to the design of the label’s production and studio spaces. The interior design combined raw, urban elements with high-quality, modern architecture. Our luminaires fit seamlessly into this concept and enhance the cinematic lighting atmosphere of the spaces – functional, striking and with a distinct design presence.
